A Day in the Mountains…

… we didn´t have, either, but still there were some nice bikes around. So here are some snaps of two Hill Specials, a rather rare marque, nice nonetheless. The white one seems to be in original livery, the blue one has had a harder time, also my camera decided to focus on all sorts of thing but the bike, so there´s only few photos of the blue one.

People usually don´t go to Blackpool to buy a bike, but this is definitively more interesting than rock, or a ride on a donkey.

Looks like late seventies to me.

Originally very nice and crisp chrome plating – wish there were something like it today.

And here´s the much older blue one.

Another typical example of the path racer – track geometry, track ends, but braze ons, space and drillings for mudguards and brakes. The fixie avant la lettre.

And built with Nervex, too. Great stuff.

Plus a Chater chainset – what else is there to yearn for?
